AhlulBayt News Agency: A solemn and well-attended conference marking the 40th day since the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Ummah, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei (RA), was convened in Skardu, Baltistan, as Pakistani scholars, seminary students, and various strata of society gathered to pay tribute to the towering figure of the Islamic Revolution.

The event, organized by the "Majlis-e-Ulama wa Maktab-e-Ahl al-Bayt" under the banner of "Commemorating the Martyrs of Wilayat al-Faqih and Renewing Allegiance to the New Leadership of the Islamic Revolution," was held at Jamia Al-Najaf in Skardu. The timing of the ceremony coincided with the remembrance of the valiant martyrs of the imposed "Ramadan War," lending a dual significance to the gathering.

The conference aimed to honor the elevated status of the martyrs of the Axis of Resistance—specifically the martyred Leader of Iran—while simultaneously declaring absolute fealty to his rightful successor, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei.

The atmosphere was charged with emotion and resolve as esteemed families of martyrs, prominent scholars, political elites, university students, and media representatives filled the venue. Speakers took to the podium to reflect on the unparalleled leadership of the martyred Ayatollah Khamenei in steering the ship of the Islamic Revolution through decades of Western sanctions and regional turmoil.

In their addresses, Pakistani clerics described the late Leader as an "unwavering beacon of resistance" whose strategic vision and spiritual fortitude fortified the frontlines from Gaza and Lebanon to Yemen and Iraq. They stressed that the path of Wilayat al-Faqih remains the only viable safeguard against imperialist and Zionist conspiracies in the Muslim world.

"The enemy believed that with the physical removal of the Imam, the structure of resistance would falter," said one senior scholar during his remarks. "Yet today, from the valleys of Baltistan to the streets of Tehran, the Ummah stands united under the flag of his successor. The Islamic Revolution is not a fleeting political project; it is a divine covenant."

The event also served as a platform for a robust renewal of the oath of allegiance (Bai'ah) to the new leadership of the Islamic Republic. Participants vociferously affirmed their unwavering support for Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, emphasizing that the transfer of leadership symbolizes the continuity and resilience of the Islamic system.

The conference in Skardu is part of a broader series of commemorations unfolding across the Indian subcontinent and beyond, underscoring the deep transnational bonds that connect the Islamic Republic of Iran with the faithful of Pakistan. The ceremony concluded with collective supplications for the hastened reappearance of Imam Mahdi (May Allah Hasten His Reappearance) and prayers for the destruction of the enemies of Islam and humanity.
